Anthropic and SpaceX have reached a computing power partnership to increase Claude Code and Claude API usage limits.

BlockBeats News, May 7 — Anthropic announced a partnership with SpaceX to collaborate on computing power, utilizing all of its Colossus 1 data center resources to enhance the capacity and usage limits of the Claude series products.

Anthropic stated that this partnership will add over 300 megawatts of computing power within a month, equivalent to more than 220k NVIDIA GPUs, directly improving the user experience for Claude Pro and Claude Max. The company also announced that starting immediately, the five-hour rate limit for Claude Code will be doubled for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise users, and peak period throttling for Pro and Max users will be removed, along with a significant increase in the Claude Opus API quota.

Additionally, Anthropic disclosed several AI infrastructure collaborations, including a partnership agreement with Amazon for up to 5GW, agreements with Google and Broadcom for 5GW, and a $30 billion Azure computing power collaboration involving Microsoft and NVIDIA. Anthropic also stated that it is exploring joint development with SpaceX of multi-gigawatt “Orbital AI Computing” infrastructure.
