Techub News reports that, according to Decrypt, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren has written to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, demanding that the company fully disclose its stablecoin-related plans and third-party partners before voting on the Clarity Act in the Senate, and must respond by May 20. She warned that, given Meta's 3.5 billion global users, its stablecoin payment plans could have serious impacts on competition, privacy, and financial stability. Meta launched the USDC creator payment program last month and previously attempted to launch the Libra stablecoin in 2019 but abandoned it due to opposition from Congress.
