a16z Crypto: The tokenization of RWA has exceeded $30 billion, growing 10 times in two years
Golden Finance reports that on May 9th, a16z Crypto posted on the X platform stating that the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) has grown tenfold in two years, now exceeding $30 billion, with nearly half being U.S. Treasury bonds. This growth reflects the increasing demand from institutions to bring traditional financial instruments such as government bonds, commodities, stocks, and private credit onto the blockchain.
Although U.S. Treasury bonds currently dominate, this asset class is expanding, and more categories have gained significant shares in recent quarters.
