Innovations in the Web3 ecosystem are emerging endlessly, but identity management has always been a dilemma. Traditional authentication methods often have data scattered across various platforms, and users lack control over their own data.

Now, this situation is changing. The concept of Self-Sovereign Identity is beginning to be implemented, allowing users to truly own their identity data. In this model, your identity proof is kept by you, can be reused across applications, eliminating the need for re-authentication each time, while privacy is protected.

This has great significance for the Web3 application ecosystem—user experience becomes smoother, security is enhanced, and data sovereignty returns to individuals. Once identity issues are resolved, the door to the Web3 ecosystem is truly opened.

Ha, it's the same old story about identification management again. I've been hearing it for over a year, why hasn't it really landed yet? It's really nice in theory, but in reality, it's still a bunch of broken issues. Data sovereignty back to individuals? I think that if the Private Key is lost, it will still be a disaster. If this thing could really be used, it would have been solved long ago; stop spouting so many concepts. Let's wait until there's really a project that makes this smooth before talking about it; right now, it's all just empty words.

Finally, someone has addressed this pain point. It was so annoying to have to re-verify on every platform before.

ngl, SSI is like... the missing piece everyone's been theorizing about since 2015, but yeah most projects still haven't figured out the actual UX friction. the adoption curve really hinges on whether devs can actually ship this without making it clunkier than traditional auth, which lol, they usually do

It should have been like this earlier. The fragmentation across platforms was too severe before, and being asked for verification every day was so annoying.
