Performance: The NEAR network has achieved a landmark in scalability, reaching a million transactions per second (1M TPS), supporting large-scale decentralized applications and AI-native services.
Cross-Chain: Through NEAR Intents and the cross-chain execution framework, the protocol has facilitated over $7 billion in cross-chain transaction volume, enhancing interoperability with other chains.
Others: NEAR has made substantial progress in private AI infrastructure, chain abstraction, and multi-protocol compatibility, laying the foundation for deploying and operating AI-native dApps.
2026 Outlook: NEAR states that it will build upon the achievements of 2025, focusing on “scaling to handle larger transaction volumes + ecosystem-wide economic alignment,” and continuing to advance productization and ecosystem expansion around the two main themes of “chain abstraction/cross-chain UX” and “private AI.” In cross-chain and chain abstraction infrastructure, the NEAR ecosystem is also promoting capabilities such as OmniBridge for “unified liquidity/cross-chain routing,” and planning to gradually support more chains to improve cross-chain fund efficiency and settlement experience.
