Perpetual Contract DEX StandX has recently launched the Maker Points new mechanism, bringing new revenue opportunities for market makers. Interestingly, users don't need to actually execute orders or establish positions; simply placing limit orders can earn Maker Points—this is a first in the perpetual contract DEX space. The product logic is straightforward: as long as your limit order is posted on the order book providing liquidity, you start accumulating Maker Points; if the order actually gets filled, you can additionally earn Trading Points. This design allows users who don't want to actively trade to earn rewards by providing liquidity, making it quite attractive for those interested in market making.

Wait, can you earn Points just by placing orders without executing them? We need to carefully analyze this logic. How does on-chain data prove that these incentives are truly being distributed, and not just another "airdrop" scheme?

Can you make money just by placing orders? That logic is a bit crazy. It feels like the era of free liquidity mining has returned.

Can you make money just by placing orders? I like this trick; finally, a DEX has thought of lazy market making.
