After AI levels the skill barriers, where is the "moat" for humans?

Wow, no wonder this article is so popular; it surprisingly aligns perfectly with my thoughts.

After experiencing vibe coding for a while, during my hospital bed rest, I kept thinking: when AI levels the playing field for “skills,” where does our “human” moat really lie?

  1. Content is no longer truly important; “perspective” is the scarce asset.

As the production cost of content approaches zero, the information barrier is completely broken down. But this doesn’t mean the disappearance of “creators”; instead, it signifies a victory for “subjectivity.”

The attitude of viewing everything as a “human” and the personal experience of the world become especially important. This is exactly what the author means by your brand = your story + worldview.

Content can be standardized by algorithms, but the “perspective”—a filtering mechanism filled with warmth, bias, and unique experiences—is where the greatest future premium lies.

  1. Ideas are products, and the friction damping of execution is disappearing.

In the past, working with data dashboards and research tools involved various skill barriers. Now, just a few prompts can turn ideas into reality, improve efficiency, share with friends, or even directly turn into monetized products.

We are shifting from “consumers” to “product managers,” and the era of “everyone is a product manager,” which has been loudly proclaimed for years, is truly arriving.

For example, this morning I found my Claude account was unjustly banned. Relying heavily on the Project feature, I immediately used a local database + Claude Code to redesign a personal front-end to replace the original web version of Claude. Using my own ideas, I can trigger various large models behind the scenes, and all kinds of strange ideas can be productized for personal use (this mindset and ability are very important).

  1. Say goodbye to the era of specialization and top expertise; be a pioneer in the “generalist” era.

The industrial age turned people into screws (specialists) because that was the most efficient. But in the AI era, AI itself is the most efficient “expert.” It can write more standardized code than you, calculate data faster than you. At this point, the “generalist” dividend has arrived.

Never think about perfection; once you fall into the perfectionist trap of optimizing details, vibe coding’s flaws will make it look inferior compared to mature industrial software.

What we should do is not compete with programmers on code elegance but compete with time on how quickly ideas can be implemented. Instead of spending a week optimizing a feature, spend an hour letting AI rethink and rewrite it. In the AI era, “completion” is far more important than “perfection.”
