Indian Trade Delegation Postpones Visit to the U.S.

Following the Supreme Court ruling in the United States, officials in New Delhi, India, revealed that Indian trade officials will postpone their trip to the United States, where they had planned to finalize a provisional trade agreement between India and the U.S. The talks will be rescheduled for a later date. Earlier this month, India reached a temporary framework with the United States, reducing tariffs on Indian goods from 25% to 18% and removing an additional 25% punitive tariff. Indian officials stated that the visit will take place after both countries review and assess the developments and their impacts.
