In this morning's news, it was mentioned that Ethereum founder Vitalik has sold 1,694 ETH in the past 36 hours, approximately $3.31 million. Digging deeper, V神 has sold over 7,000 ETH this month. Many friends saw this news and their first reaction was "The sky is falling," "Sell, sell, sell." Since the founder is selling, does that mean the price will plummet? Is Ethereum about to have problems? Is V神 being influenced by VC coin projects and starting to cash out? Etc. Actually, there's no need to overreact. I believe the most direct message from this is that ETH may not have bottomed out yet, and V神 might just be doing a high sell and low buy this time.
Today, Ethereum has developed into an ecosystem that carries countless L2, L3 chains, DeFi applications, and many other business ecosystems. It is no longer something that a single person can influence or control, but rather a collective ecosystem built by developers, validators, and even every retail trader. Network operation, staking scale, Gas consumption, application activity—these are the fundamentals. From this perspective, ETH has long since achieved "decentralization." This is also a sign of ETH's maturity.
We should separate ETH's development from the founder’s personal asset allocation. After all, V神 is also human and needs money. Maybe he just started a new relationship, and his girlfriend is strict, or he’s short of cash? 😉😉 Moreover, 7,000 ETH is just a drop in the bucket for V神’s holdings, and in the current vast market depth of Ethereum, it’s insignificant. It won't have a significant direct impact on the price. Having said all this, I believe everyone can stay a bit calmer now. Actually, the biggest lesson for me from this is that since V神 has sold, I might as well hold onto my short position. 😂😂
