Trump claims he can easily resume military action against Iran
Xinhua News Agency London, April 8 (Reporter Yu Aicen) U.S. President Trump said on the 8th that if negotiations between the United States and Iran do not go smoothly, the U.S. will be able to easily resume military action against Iran.
Speaking in an interview with the UK’s Sky News on the same day, Trump said that the U.S.-Iran two-week ceasefire was “very good,” and that all military targets in Iran had been achieved. “We have completed everything we wanted to do militarily, and the U.S. has achieved a complete victory militarily.”
When a reporter asked about Iran’s 10 ceasefire terms, which were deemed impossible for the U.S. to accept, Trump said, “You don’t know what those specific terms are. I do. Many of them are very good, and most have already been negotiated.”
A few hours earlier, Trump posted on social media that the U.S. had received Iran’s 10 ceasefire terms and believed the proposal could serve as a viable basis for carrying out negotiations.
Meanwhile, on the 8th, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council issued a statement saying that the war launched against Iran by the enemy had failed, forcing it to accept Iran’s 10 ceasefire terms, and that Iran had achieved a great victory. (End)
