France claims it has not changed the U.S. military aircraft overflight policy
In response to U.S. President Trump’s tweet on March 31st claiming that “France does not allow military cargo or planes heading to Israel to fly over its territory,” the Élysée Palace, the official residence of the French President, later responded that France’s position on this issue has not changed. The Élysée Palace stated that France’s policy regarding U.S. military aircraft flying over its airspace has remained consistent since the start of this round of conflict and has not been adjusted. The Élysée Palace also expressed “surprise” at Trump’s related remarks. (CCTV News)
