According to ChainCatcher, based on the official announcement, the TRON network officially approved Proposal #106 on April 10 at 20:00 (UTC+8).
According to the content of the proposal, the mainnet has completed the adjustment of the behavior and cost of executing the SELFDESTRUCT instruction: now the smart contract is truly removed from the blockchain only if this instruction is called within the same transaction in which the contract was created; in all other cases, executing this instruction will only transfer assets within the contract to the specified address, and the contract itself will not be deleted. Additionally, the energy consumption for executing SELFDESTRUCT has been changed from 0 to 5000.
This adjustment means that TRON has become closer to Ethereum in terms of mechanisms, which promotes further compatibility of the TVM (TRON Virtual Machine) and provides a more stable foundation for multi-chain development and ecosystem adaptation.
