OpenAI launched the GPT-5.5-Cyber model and the Trusted Access for Cyber framework for verified cybersecurity defenders. OpenAI opened a limited preview to defenders responsible for critical infrastructure and said verified users will face fewer model refusals in specialized security tasks. Starting from June 1, 2026, individual users of this capability will need to enable advanced account security protection.
