CryptoWorld News reports that the FBI’s Nexfundai operation has once again attracted attention, as crypto commentators Evan Luthra and Carl Moon shared new posts about how U.S. agents are using fake Ethereum tokens to catch crypto market makers. Luthra said that the FBI created an ERC-20 token called Nexfundai, with a supply of 1000 billion tokens. Agents disguised themselves as members of project teams and contacted market makers to help create fake trading activity. Moon also said that the FBI launched its own crypto token to lure scammers. Luthra said that Nexfundai is part of the “token mirror operation,” aimed at exposing money-laundering transactions and pump-and-dump schemes. He claimed that Gotbit, Mytrade, CLS Global, and ZM Quant are among the companies arrested in this operation. The FBI’s action resulted in charges against 18 people and entities. CLS Global was fined $428,000 for money-laundering transactions related to Nexfundai and was banned from the U.S. for three years.

There is quite a controversy over entrapment enforcement, but scams in the crypto space definitely need to be addressed.

The name "Mirror Action" really makes it seem like they think they're blockchain.
