On May 21, Bloomberg reported that Christopher Giancarlo, the former Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) known as 'Crypto Dad' for his early support of digital assets, has joined Jefferies Financial Group Inc. as a senior advisor focusing on investment banking. During his tenure, the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) and CME Group Inc. launched Bitcoin futures contracts for the first time and facilitated the self-certification of Bitcoin derivatives.
