Designed to cultivate early-stage ideas from top-tier academic institutions such as the University of Cambridge, the program will provide selected projects with capital investment, technical guidance, and direct access to a global blockchain ecosystem. With a strong emphasis on research-based innovation, the initiative targets scalable solutions in core areas including blockchain infrastructure, decentralized finance (DeFi), and AI-powered applications built on the Solana network.
The Web3 (Open-web) & AI Frontiers Programme will offer investment tickets ranging from $100,000 to $1 million with flexible timelines. Beyond funding, participants will benefit from comprehensive post-investment support, including mentorship from seasoned operators, strategic business development advice, and access to specialized talent networks within the blockchain and Web3 sectors.
This initiativebrings together the unique strengths of its three founding partners: Gate Ventures, a venture arm dedicated to accelerating blockchain innovation through early-stage investment and strategic support; Solana Superteam UK, which contributes deep ecosystem expertise and a strong developer community within the Solana network; and the Cambridge Blockchain Society, a leading academic group that connects students, researchers, and industry professionals driving blockchain research across the University of Cambridge.
