  • Integrating into Google Cloud to aggressively target AI and multi-cloud security
  • Maintaining neutrality and openness, boldly supporting AWS and Microsoft Azure
  • Israel’s largest exit in history, founders becoming instant millionaires

In this critical era where artificial intelligence and cloud computing intertwine, the global tech giants’ arms race has escalated once again. After nearly a year of preparation, Google LLC officially announced this Wednesday (3/11) that it has completed the acquisition of Wiz, a cloud security unicorn headquartered in New York. This historic deal, first revealed in March 2025 and valued at up to $32 billion, has finally settled, shocking Wall Street and reshaping the global cloud security market landscape.

Integrating into Google Cloud to aggressively target AI and multi-cloud security

According to the official announcement, Wiz will continue to operate under its own brand and business model after joining Google Cloud, maintaining its security commitments to all customers. Google CEO Sundar Pichai stated in a release that as more enterprises and governments migrate core operations to the cloud and widely adopt generative AI, ensuring cybersecurity has become more critical than ever. He emphasized:

“By combining Wiz with Google Cloud, we enable organizations to innovate with greater confidence.”

Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian also said that the goal of this acquisition is to provide a “unified security platform” that integrates Google’s powerful AI threat intelligence capabilities with Wiz’s deep expertise in cloud architecture. This will significantly simplify the complex task of protecting multi-cloud environments and help security teams detect and prevent emerging malicious threats before hackers can exploit AI to launch attacks.

Maintaining neutrality and openness, boldly supporting AWS and Microsoft Azure

In today’s multi-cloud architecture, one of the most notable focuses of this acquisition is Wiz’s commitment to maintaining its traditional “open” approach.

Wiz co-founder and CEO Assaf Rappaport publicly pledged that Wiz’s product line will continue to support all major cloud platforms, including Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud. He emphasized:

“With Google’s strong AI resources and infrastructure support, we are in a better position to help partners and customers prevent data leaks at machine speed.”

Israel’s largest exit in history, founders becoming instant millionaires

Beyond the technological impact, this high-value deal has also stirred waves in the international financial community. According to local Israeli media outlets Calcalist and The Jerusalem Post, this is the largest exit in Israel’s tech development history.

The $32 billion acquisition is expected to bring the Israeli government an astonishing tax revenue of up to 10 billion shekels (nearly $2.7 billion). Wiz’s four core founders hold about 30% of the shares, and after taxes, each is projected to receive around $2.2 billion. Hundreds of early Wiz employees will also become millionaires or even billionaires.

As Google officially integrates Wiz into its portfolio, the security defense battle among cloud giants enters a new phase. How Google will deeply embed Wiz’s technology into its global AI infrastructure remains a key focus for the entire market.
