Whale Shorted BTC on the Day of US-Iran War Outbreak, $6.5 Million Short Position Down 180%

Gate News, March 13 — According to Hyperinsight monitoring, on the day the US-Iran war officially broke out in the form of airstrikes on February 28, a whale address starting with 0x45b opened a BTC short position with 20x leverage. The initial entry price was $63,810, holding 35 BTC (approximately $2.25 million). Subsequently, the market experienced intense volatility, but BTC generally strengthened. During this period, the address gradually added to the position to average down the cost, increasing the holding size to $6.5 million, with an average price raised to $65,672. As of press time, BTC price continued to rise, and this short position has a floating loss of $580,000, a loss of 180%, with a liquidation price set at $75,586.
