Slowmist余弦 Complains About AI Development Tools User Experience: Originally Wanted to Save Time but Ended Up Busier

Gate News, March 16 — SlowMist founder Yu Xian posted on X criticizing the user experience of AI development tools. Yu Xian said that after using AI tools like OpenClaw, Claude Code, and Codex for a while, he realized that he initially thought having a few AI employees would save time, but in reality, he has to constantly guide them and renew their subscriptions every day. He worries they might not be proactive or might mess things up. These tools generate大量 useless content and waste a huge number of tokens, making users busier than before and reducing sleep time. Even when away from the computer, they have to monitor remotely via phone. After several months of experimenting, he spent a lot of money and produced a lot of junk. Yu Xian said the only good news is that he thought he was keeping up with the times.
