Spot/Futures Trading Volume Ratio of ETH on a Certain CEX Drops to Lowest Level Since 2023

ETH7,67%

Gate News reports that on March 16, according to crypto analyst Darkfost, open interest in ETH on a certain CEX platform has significantly decreased, with holdings dropping by approximately 400,000 ETH since January. At the same time, the ratio of spot to futures trading volume for ETH on the platform has fallen to its lowest level since 2023, which was the year the bear market ended. Despite this, ETH futures trading volume on the platform remains more than six times higher than spot trading volume. This indicates a current weakness in the ETH spot market, with previous sell-offs by the Ethereum Foundation and Vitalik Buterin also impacting investor sentiment.
