OpenAI appoints a new head of infrastructure to oversee the Stargate project and adjust its strategy

Gate News Report, March 16 — OpenAI announced the appointment of a new Infrastructure Lead responsible for the Stargate project. Previously, OpenAI decided to lease more AI servers from major cloud service providers instead of building its own data centers. As part of the restructuring, OpenAI has divided its computing operations into three teams: the technical design of its data centers, business collaborations with cloud providers and chip companies, and on-site facility management.
