BlackRock CEO: The tokenization of all assets has just begun
Global digital wallets hold $4.1 trillion, with a large portion outside the United States. Fink's assessment is that tokenizing ETFs and digitizing assets, guiding novice investors entering the market through cryptocurrencies into traditional pension products, and fully tokenizing real estate, stocks, and bonds represent BNY Mellon's core opportunities over the next few decades.
Currently, BNY Mellon owns the world's largest tokenized money market fund BUIDL, and its Bitcoin ETF product iBIT has surpassed $100 billion in scale, up from zero just two years ago. Fink, who once was cautious about cryptocurrencies, now openly states: "I like it very much now, but I have been growing and learning."
