Crypto investment trends among the wealthy in South Korea: one-third are involved in investing, and the young wealthy are more active

Gate.io News bot, according to Chosun Ilbo, the “2025 Korea Wealth Report” released by the Hana Bank Financial Research Institute shows that one-third of South Korea’s wealthy people with financial assets of more than 1 billion won are investing or have invested in cryptocurrencies, with an average investment of 42 million won.

According to the report, “Young Rich” under the age of 40 are particularly prominent in crypto investments, with a holding rate of 29%, three times higher than the older wealthy group. These wealthy young people have also shown a high level of participation in overseas equity investment.
