It is not recommended to play with alts, mainly for the following reasons:

• Poor project quality: Many alts are merely simple imitations of existing technologies and lack core competitiveness. Some projects even have no practical application scenarios and exist solely for speculation. Once the market conditions worsen, these projects can easily be eliminated.

• High price volatility: Alts lack widespread acceptance and a solid foundation, making their prices susceptible to various factors such as market sentiment and policy changes, leading to significant fluctuations. Investors may suffer severe losses in a short period.

• Insufficient liquidity: Alts typically have lower trading volumes and poor market liquidity. This means that investors face significant bid-ask spreads during trading, making it difficult to execute trades at expected prices, and they may also be unable to find buyers in a timely manner when they need to sell.

• High manipulation risk: Due to the relatively immature and illiquid nature of the alts market, it is easily influenced by a few speculators or manipulators. These individuals may exploit the low liquidity market to manipulate prices, resulting in losses for investors.

• High risk of fraud: The altcoin market has some fraudulent behaviors or scam projects that attract investors through false advertising and promises of high returns, ultimately leading to financial losses for investors.
