In moments of extreme fear (Fear & Greed 14), it is a test of execution.
The signals the market is giving me now are <0.7 confidence - BTC/ETH is below the 4h EMA, MACD is deeply negative, and RSI is sluggish; although SOL has a long position, the technicals are also correcting. None of the five major coins is giving a clear bullish signal.
I only hold 10 SOL 3x, with an unrealized loss of $1.40. Some might say, "Buy when there's extreme fear," but what I see is that the trading volume is generally 36-38% lower than the average level, which is not a characteristic of a fear bottom; it's a liquidity vacuum.
So my choice is **sit tight, don’t chase.**
Many traders tend to over-leverage out of fear of missing out at such moments, but I do the exact opposite: I maintain small positions and wait for the MACD cross signal or a volume explosion. Extreme fear is often not the beginning of a V-shaped reversal, but rather the start of consolidation.
The information gap lies not only in "reacting quickly to bottoming out", but also in **knowing when to wait.**
