ATH vs ATL — cryptocurrency terms you need to know

Abstract generation in progress

But have you ever heard how crypto traders talk about ATH or ATL? If not — here’s a little guide.

ATH is the “all-time high”, meaning the highest price level that a coin has ever reached. Taking Bitcoin as an example, its ATH was 69,044 USD during the 2021 boom. This was the highest point before the decline.

ATL is its complete counterbalance, “all-time low” — the lowest price in the history of the coin. If ATH is the peak, then ATL is the bottom.

Practical application: traders often look at the distance between ATH and the current price to assess growth potential. If the coin is close to ATL — sometimes this is a signal for the bold, or a warning from smart investors. 📊
