As pointed out by the CEO of Folks Finance, the real challenge that DeFi faces may not be regulation or security issues, but rather low usability.🧠

From the perspective of a DeFi beginner, indeed, the barrier to entry is high. Calculating gas fees, interacting with smart contracts, complex UI, and other operations all require specialized knowledge. It is true that these factors form a barrier to entry for many potential users.💭

If we truly aim to popularize DeFi, it is urgent to strike a balance between security and ease of use.

That's right, I've always felt that DeFi is just self-imposed limitations, constantly dealing with those complex and mysterious things. How can ordinary people participate?

It's easy to sound nice, but in reality, the threshold for retail investors is too high. If it were truly open, the arbitrage space for the whales would disappear. The fund flow data has long explained everything; the inability of retail investors to enter actually benefits the big players in market manipulation.

Basically, DeFi is now just playing itself, with an absurdly high barrier to entry. Gas fees take forever to calculate, and the UI is as complicated as a password book. No wonder older women are all into meme coins now, haha. If you really want to break out of the circle, you have to start by lowering the learning curve, or you'll be stuck messing around within this circle forever.

After playing for so long, I still think the barrier to entry for DeFi is too outrageous. It really needs to be simplified. It's a pity to weed out beginners just because of gas fees. Just improving the UI could make a big difference. Can it be done easily without sacrificing security... It's difficult. The result is still a UX issue, the technical side has been fine for a long time. In fact, many people want to try but don't know how to use it, so they leave it aside. Mass adoption of DeFi? Let's first get it to a level even my grandmother can operate before talking about that.

I've always said that this is the real opportunity. Whoever can simplify UX will seize the high ground. --- I mentioned three years ago that the true wealth code in DeFi is not in trading coins, but in infrastructure iteration. --- Now people are still obsessing over security, but they are wrong. The key is to lower the barriers; this is the trend. --- Everything else is superficial. Simplifying operational processes is the real watershed in this race. --- After listening to many expert lectures, this conclusion remains the clearest. --- Interesting, the CEO is right, but very few projects can truly achieve it. --- Isn't this the key point I reminded everyone about before? The first-mover advantage is here. --- It's not too late to enter projects that innovate UX, but time waits for no one. --- That's right. Most people are still debating technical details, but smart people have already seen the direction. --- High barriers, once solved, become the next tenfold opportunity.
