This experience made me thoroughly reflect on my trading approach. After a 20% drawdown, I decided never to touch altcoins again.
Even seemingly conservative setups can't shield you from risks — using 1x leverage with a 2% small position to long or short certain altcoins can still result in significant drawdowns or even liquidation. This is not alarmist; it has actually happened. But what's even more frustrating are the transaction fees. Some small coins have ridiculously high fees, and every trade feels like being cut with a knife, watching funds being devoured by fees. Eventually, I couldn't take it anymore and had to cut my losses and exit.
After all this turmoil, I realized: instead of getting entangled in the volatility and fee traps of altcoins, it's better to focus on Bitcoin with medium leverage. The risks are manageable, liquidity is sufficient, and fees are relatively transparent. Some lessons can only be learned by paying the tuition yourself.

I've also fallen into the trap of altcoins; the transaction fees are truly invisible vampires.

nah mate, this is exactly how they get you trapped in the dark forest... those fee structures on shitcoins? classic extraction mechanism. you're literally paying for your own liquidation lol

Did you get scared and run at just 20 points? I previously lost 50 points and was still holding on, haha.

Altcoins are really a deep pit; transaction fees directly eat up half of the profits.

Altcoin transaction fees are indeed a black hole; I've also fallen into it.

Altcoins are really a pit, truly "deep as the sea" once you get in... The transaction fees are even worse, feeling like I'm working for the exchange.

I've also jumped into the altcoin pit, losing half of the profits to transaction fees—truly brilliant.
