Solana's Supply-in-Profit Snapshot 🔺

Just checked the latest metrics on Solana's circulating supply—and the picture's pretty interesting right now. The percentage of SOL holdings currently trading above acquisition cost reveals some telling sentiment shifts in the ecosystem.

When you've got a significant chunk of the supply sitting in green, it typically signals solid conviction among holders. They're not panic-selling at losses. Conversely, if this ratio tightens, you might see increased sell pressure building.

What makes this worth watching: it's a real-time gauge of whether the network's active participants believe in the current price levels. Not just noise, but actual on-chain holder behavior.

The broader context matters too—this metric often correlates with network health, community morale, and whether we're seeing genuine accumulation or just trapped positions waiting for bounces.

Having many profit chips doesn't really mean much... The real question is when those dormant addresses will wake up. Once large transfer records appear, it's over. Wait, how is this data calculated? What is the proportion of chips held by early coin holders? That is the decisive factor. I've seen too many illusions—on the surface, there are many profit-takers, but behind the scenes, there are all kinds of complex fund transfer trajectories. Don't be fooled. But I have to admit... this does reflect something. As long as people still believe in the current price, that's fine. What I'm worried about is the emergence of abnormal trading patterns someday.

What does it mean when more people are making profits? Isn't it just a prelude to harvesting the little guys... The real thing to watch is what those who are trapped will do.

The profit supply ratio sounds professional, but honestly, it just shows how many people are still making money. When this number is high, everyone is indeed more calm, but don't be fooled; it's still more reliable to look at trading volume. This round of SOL is a bit interesting, but I just don't know where the bottom is. Real accumulation is still just pretending to accumulate; on-chain data isn't definitive either, we have to wait for the price to speak. I feel this indicator doesn't help much with bottom fishing.

Does a high profit holding ratio indicate confidence? I think more often it's just being trapped so tightly that no one can sell or buy.

What does a high profit supply ratio indicate? Those already trapped are also at high levels... The key is still to look at the new inflows.

Based on on-chain data, the proportion of profitable supply indeed reflects the true holding sentiment, but one must be cautious—high profit ratios may also indicate that large holders have already taken substantial profits and could cash out at any time. It is more reliable to observe the changes in TVL flow and active addresses simultaneously.
