You'll notice plenty of commentary circulating about Bitcoin reaching the end of its 4-year cycle. But here's what matters: most of these takes come from folks with serious skin in the game—they need these narratives to keep the momentum going and offload their positions.

That said, dismissing it outright would be naive. Looking at Bitcoin's behavior over the past 14 years though, the price pattern is remarkably consistent and well-established. The asset doesn't move arbitrarily. When you strip away the speculation and hype cycles, the fundamentals of Bitcoin's market structure reveal themselves pretty clearly.

The challenge is separating genuine technical signals from manufactured consensus. Most players pushing the cycle narrative have vested interests in seeing certain outcomes play out. Understanding their incentives is just as important as understanding the charts themselves.

Basically, it's about who's doing the talking, not what he's saying.

What are you all talking about with the 4-year cycle? Honestly, it's just someone trying to dump their holdings. --- No matter how beautiful the charts are, they can't withstand someone stirring the pot. The fact that利益决定叙事 (interests determine the narrative) has long been understood. --- The data from 2014 is right here; the price trend still has clues to follow, but... you have to see for yourself who is genuine and who is fake. --- It's hard to tell whether it's a technical signal or a consensus to pump the price. Everyone needs to be clear-headed. --- So the core is to see who is telling the story and what story they are telling, right? --- Cycle theories are everywhere, but behind them are people who have accounts to settle.

Basically, it's just cutting leeks. Anyone who believes in a 4-year cycle is just foolish.

Bottom-fisher, meat-cutting king. Believe in charts, not stories. --- Basically, the big players are telling stories, retail investors are listening... --- Heard this 4-year cycle explanation so many times... --- Got it, just don't follow the herd, look at the K-line yourself --- The key is who is telling this story, how many coins do they still hold now --- This article is just teaching people how to see through the routines of the leek harvesters haha --- Bitcoin does have patterns, but those patterns are hyped into predictions, which is ridiculous --- Wait, should I buy now or wait? --- Charts can lie, but interests are always honest --- The cycle theory has been overused for a long time, the key is who is promoting it

To be honest, I'm tired of the 4-year cycle theory; it's probably just big players looking for an excuse to sell off. But blindly believing everything isn't right either. Bitcoin's 14-year trend does have some patterns; it's not just random bouncing around. The key is to see who is talking and why they are saying it...

Basically, it's just big players telling stories, and we need to be cautious. But the 2014 data is there, and there are indeed traces to follow; we can't dismiss it as nonsense. The key is to distinguish between genuine signals and false consensus—that's the core.
