Hyperliquid Assistance Fund Holdings Disclosure: 37.11 million HYPE pending burn, potentially changing the circulation landscape

Abstract generation in progress

【BiTu】On-chain data monitoring has found that the Hyperliquid Assistance Fund currently holds 37.114 million HYPE, with an approximate USD value of 1.02 billion. In other words, this holding accounts for 13.7% of the current HYPE circulating supply — quite significant.

Background data: The total supply of HYPE is 1 billion tokens. Its current market cap has risen to $7.406 billion, and the FDV (Fully Diluted Valuation) has reached $27.35 billion.

Interestingly, the Hyperliquid Foundation recently initiated a proposal on social media, requesting a validator vote. The proposal is straightforward — officially acknowledge that the HYPE held by the Assistance Fund has been burned, and remove these tokens permanently from circulation and total supply. In other words, the actual future supply of HYPE will decrease, which could impact market liquidity dynamics.

Burned over 37 million tokens? Now this gets interesting. With the supply shrinking, how can the price not go up?

Wow, 13.7% directly burned? If that passes, the liquidity will be much tighter.

Oh no, this destruction method is pretty harsh, directly cutting 13.7% of the circulating supply. --- Something's off. Why is the aid fund suddenly burning tokens? We need to think deeper. --- The FDV is already 27.3 billion, and they still want to reduce supply? It feels a bit like playing a numbers game. --- Is 1.02 billion HYPE just gone like that? I see through this surgical marketing tactic by the foundation. --- Wait, if the circulating supply shrinks, will the price go up? That’s the real question. --- Another round of destruction and voting—this is the usual trick in blockchain. I keep feeling there's some scheme behind it. --- 37.11 million HYPE permanently removed. Sounds nice, but it feels like they're just playing a supply-side game.

This level of destruction is quite intense, directly reducing the circulating supply by 13.7%. What tricks is the foundation playing?
