Recently, while exploring some AI projects, I have been increasingly convinced: the real issue with AI is not whether it is smart or not, but who is steering it and who can truly utilize it.

From a different perspective, the thing that blockchain initially accomplished—removing financial control from a few institutions—can also be applied to AI. If money shouldn't be monopolized, then why should AI capabilities be locked away by a few large companies?

With this in mind, I have started to pay close attention to projects that are exploring decentralized control of AI. Their clear goal is to solve a straightforward problem: how to make AI models not a black box controlled by a single center, but instead a foundational infrastructure that can be collectively managed and fluidly reused by the community. This is not only a technical challenge but also a matter of redistributing power.

That's right, the decentralized AI track has indeed become popular, but there are very few projects that can truly succeed. OpenAI has been holding back for so many years to reach its current scale. Why should they give it up? Reallocating power is easy to talk about, but whether it can be implemented depends on whether the community can truly govern itself. It feels a bit like the early days of DeFi hype—everyone shouting about breaking monopolies, but in the end, big players still cut the leeks, and decentralization turned into deregulation. However, it's definitely worth paying attention to—what if a truly usable one emerges? It's still better than being at the mercy of OpenAI's unilateral strategy updates.

Another story about AI decentralization, sounds good but what about the execution? --- Really, who leads is much more important than the technology itself, finally realized --- Can the blockchain system be applied to AI? Haha, another cycle theory, huh --- Rearranging power sounds nice, but isn't it just a new form of centralization with a different name --- I've seriously thought about this idea, community governance AI models... interesting --- Monopolies never willingly let go, will these big companies make concessions? --- Decentralized control? Sounds like a pie in the sky for small retail investors --- Finally someone clarified it: AI democratization is not a technical issue, but a power issue --- The logic makes sense, but how many projects can really pull it off in reality? --- Financial decentralization, AI decentralization—sounds like another revolution is coming --- The question is, can communities really use AI more wisely than big corporations? --- Must pay attention to this track, feels like the next wave of narratives is right here

That's right, centralization of power is really a big problem. OpenAI is monopolizing there, while we're still discussing open source—what a irony. Decentralized AI should have arrived long ago; just bring over the blockchain theories. Wait, how many truly decentralized AI projects can actually get off the ground now? It feels like another "beautiful vision" that will ultimately be corrupted by capital. Compared to being smart or not, having control is indeed more important, and I get that. Community-driven AI models sound really promising.
