Solana co-founder Toly recently shared some thoughts about the upcoming SKR token for Solana Mobile. The core idea is that, in theory, this token's design could give holders vertical control at the phone level—including hardware choices, user experience, and revenue sharing decisions.

Of course, Toly also admitted the current situation: this tech stack is not fully mature yet. But from a design perspective, SKR's ambitions are significant. It aims to break the traditional passive user role in the mobile app ecosystem and grant token holders more influence across the entire value chain.

This reflects Solana's determination to explore breakthroughs in the mobile space. Compared to other public chains, Solana has been quite aggressive in investing in the Mobile ecosystem. If the SKR token can truly achieve its design goals, it could change the relationship between users and mobile applications—from passive consumption to active participation and value sharing.

However, based on the phrase "not ready yet," there is still some distance to go before it can be fully implemented. But this direction itself is worth paying attention to, especially for those interested in the Solana ecosystem and Web3 mobile development.

It sounds great, but rushing to promote it before being ready is a trick I've seen many times. Whether SKR can truly empower users is still two different opinions; wait until the technology stack matures before promoting. Toly really knows how to hype up things this time haha. Vertical control sounds awesome, but how much can actually be implemented? Question mark. Another Web3 salvation theory, let's wait and see. Solana is aggressive, but will it succeed this time... not very sure. By the way, why is it always "theoretically designed"? When will it actually be implemented? Feels like we have to wait another year or two to see results; the NFT pitfalls haven't been filled yet.

The SOL ecosystem has indeed been playing wildly this time, but I've heard the phrase "not ready yet" too many times. Let's wait until it's truly launched before talking. No matter how loud the hype is now, it's still just air. Toly, this guy's idea is pretty good, but the execution is a bit slow. Hardware control? Sounds great, but how many successful implementations will there really be? This vertically integrated approach is indeed innovative; it all depends on whether Solana can withstand the pressure until that day. It's always "theoretically possible"... I just want to see if it actually works in practice. Feels like telling a story, but the story isn't bad.

actually, the algorithmic architecture underlying SKR's token mechanics is where the real generative potential lies... most people miss how this tangibly disrupts the hash value distribution model entirely
