Can 5000 yuan really turn things around? Recently, someone has been asking me this question.
I don't want to talk about success clichés because I’ve actually done it. That year, I only had 700U in my pocket, which I truly squeezed all my living expenses into. But I didn’t gamble recklessly; instead, I was very disciplined—started with just 300U to test the waters.
The initial approach was very simple and crude: focus on the strongest coin of the day, take profits when doubled; once a retracement reaches one-tenth of the principal, cut the position immediately, no hesitation. After a few consecutive wins at the start, the principal indeed grew very quickly.
But there’s a hurdle—making money isn’t the hardest part; the hardest part is controlling that impulsive, restless heart. Every time my account reached over a thousand yuan, I would force myself to take a break, stop watching the market, and hold back even the most tempting行情. This cycle repeated itself; although it wasn’t as exciting, it was stable.
Once my account size increased, I changed my strategy. I no longer went all-in but diversified: part of the funds for intraday volatility (quick in and out); part for long-term trend investing (not tied down by short-term fluctuations); and kept some ammunition for when a real big行情 appears.
The most crucial trick is: before each trade, write down the take profit and stop loss levels and stick to them. Orders without a plan will ultimately be eaten up by emotions.
Many people believe that tools and platforms can change their fate, but actually, tools are just magnifying glasses—they amplify both advantages and disadvantages. The reason I’ve been able to hold on until now is because of four strict rules: no full position, always set a stop loss, at most three trades per day, and withdraw profits once earned.
I’ve seen too many people use luck to make money, only to lose it all back due to greed. If I have anything special, it’s simply being decisive about行情 and being even harsher on my own weaknesses.

That's right, the key is really self-control. I just lost to greed.

Honestly, I need to remember to set fixed take-profit and stop-loss levels. I've lost everything too many times because of greed.
