Alan Wm. Wolff has laid out six different scenarios for how the Supreme Court might rule on the IEEPA tariff case—and each outcome could reshape the regulatory landscape in ways that matter to the digital asset space.

The International Emergency Economic Powers Act gives the executive branch significant authority over trade policy, but the specifics of this ruling will determine how much congressional oversight applies going forward. Whether the Court sides with expansive executive power or reins it in could directly impact how tariff policies affect blockchain infrastructure, international crypto exchanges, and cross-border transactions.

Wolff's analysis breaks down the nuances: some paths maintain the status quo, others require legislative action, and a few fundamentally shift the balance between branches of government. For anyone tracking policy developments in Web3, understanding these six scenarios helps clarify what's at stake—and which outcomes might reshape compliance frameworks across the industry.

Alright, this IEEPA case indeed affects everything. Ultimately, how it will be decided depends on the Supreme Court's mood... There are six possibilities laid out, and I just want to know which one is most favorable to us.

Wait, among the six scenarios, which one is most favorable to us? I have a feeling we're about to get cut again...

These six scenario analyses look pretty good, but to be honest, I'm more concerned about which outcome is most friendly to the exchange... Administrative power has always been a tricky issue.

Everyone is waiting for the Supreme Court's ruling. Will this finally settle the matter... It seems that regardless of the outcome, the rules will need to be changed.

These six scenarios all sound quite critical, but to be honest, I care more about which one can actually be implemented in the end... Analyzing alone is useless; the tug-of-war between administrative authority and congressional power, in the end, we on the chain workers just have to see how the compliance framework evolves.

Honestly, if this IEEPA case really passes, it will have a significant impact on cross-border transactions. Out of the six scenarios, probably only two or three are friendly to on-chain infrastructure, while the others either strengthen scrutiny or get bogged down in legislative disputes... It depends on how the court interprets the boundaries of executive authority.
