Having been in the industry for eight years, some say they lost everything, while others say they gained a lot.

In the past two years, crypto practitioners have loved writing memoirs. Some project founders openly admit to wasting eight years of their youth in this industry, while another seasoned investor turned around and wrote an article saying he has no regrets about these eight years. It seems to be the same time span, but the outcomes are completely opposite.

This is outrageous. The same industry, the same time period, how can it evolve into two completely different life experiences? Some people see crypto as a big dream, while others regard it as the most valuable experience of their lives.

Thinking carefully, this contrast is not just about personal character differences. It could be due to different entry timings, vastly different profit expectations, or completely opposite role positioning during this cycle. When the bull market arrives, it’s glorious; when the bear market hits, some choose to go all in, while others opt to exit.

The crypto industry is like that—opportunities and traps are often separated by just a sheet of paper. The same market conditions, different choices, can lead to entirely different life trajectories. Instead of asking what’s wrong with crypto, it’s better to first ask whether your mindset and choices are right.

Ultimately, it's a mindset issue. In the same market conditions, some people win effortlessly while others give up. The timing of entry is really crucial. Those who entered early and those who entered later are completely different types of investors. Most of those who lose everything are the ones chasing highs; experienced investors have already cashed out... That's very normal. Going all in and exiting are the dividing lines between gambling instinct and rationality; there's nothing more to say. Instead of regretting, it's better to think clearly now about what you truly want.

Basically, it's still a mindset issue. The same market conditions with different choices can lead to vastly different results.

Basically, it's a matter of choice—some people seize the opportunity, while others get caught in it.

Basically, it's the difference between a gambler's mentality and rational investing. With such a severe polarization, how can they still have the audacity to discuss the industry? The timing of entry can truly change everything. Are early miners and those who buy at high prices the same? Having the right mindset is key to making money. Even with more opportunities, a wrong mentality will waste them all. That's the real truth.
