Latest on-chain data reveals a noteworthy phenomenon: the ETH reserves within exchanges have fallen back to 2016 levels, marking the lowest point in eight years. Meanwhile, BTC holdings are also shrinking, with only 2.75 million coins remaining across the network.

The underlying logic is straightforward—the circulating "hot coins" in the market are gradually depleting. Large holders and institutions are rapidly withdrawing, onboarding, and locking up tokens, which typically signals optimism about the future market. Additionally, the US banking sector has announced plans to fully recommend crypto asset ETFs starting in 2026, making the funding support increasingly clear. Tightening supply and expanding demand create a classic supply and demand imbalance environment.

However, there's a commonly overlooked pitfall: bull markets are often the easiest time for retail investors to get wrecked. Data shows that most people are not trapped during bear markets but lose their positions during bull markets due to emotional mismanagement—buying the top and getting crushed, selling in small dips, panicking during pullbacks—ultimately losing their principal entirely. Bull markets won't save you; they only amplify your greed and fear tenfold.

Experienced investors are now taking a more restrained approach:

First, maintain a core position. For key assets like BTC, ETH, and BNB, buy gradually on dips. No need for frequent trading—holding steady is winning.

Second, use small amounts for trial and error. Allocate funds that you can afford to lose to accumulate early-stage projects with strong consensus. Once they break out, the gains could be several times larger, but you must accept the risk of failure.

The driving forces behind this cycle are clear: continuous technical upgrades, ongoing supply-side tightening, and persistent macro liquidity easing—these three factors resonate together. In this environment, Ethereum surpassing $8,500 may just be a phase target.

The key is not to chase highs; sticking to your core holdings is the way to go. Retail investors often experience more market crashes in a bull market than in a bear market, and this is the reality. 275 million BTC, although not many, still need to be accumulated. When your mindset collapses, everything is over. I've seen too many cases. ETH approaching 8500, should I reduce my position? Still undecided... Big players are withdrawing coins; let's follow their lead and stay long-term optimistic. Small-scale trial and error is a good strategy, but I'm worried about losing control. Tight supply and high demand—this kind of situation isn't common every day. A bull market is a mirror that reveals who truly knows how to invest. Holding on is winning; it's easy to say but hard to do, everyone.

The retail investors' crash show is about to play out again. A bunch of people see this data and start chasing the high, waiting to get crushed.

It's the same old story... I heard this in 2017 too, and what happened? Do the big holders who withdraw coins now dare to make their ledgers public?

Retail investors' heartfelt warning: stop chasing highs, brothers --- It's that old saying again, making money in a bull market is easy, losing money is hard --- 275 million BTC sounds like a lot, but how much would that be globally? Still trying to catch the bottom --- Is it reliable that Bank of America is pushing ETFs? Feels too sudden --- Holding core assets will lead to victory? Easy to say, but can you really keep control when doing it? --- Small-scale trial and error is a good suggestion, but how many people can truly accept going to zero? --- I've heard the supply-demand imbalance and environmental protection logic too many times, but in the end, it still depends on the coin price --- Lowest stockpile in 8 years? Are these numbers really accurate? --- Ultimately, it's a mindset issue. If you can endure the sell-off in a bull market, you'll win --- Institutions are hoarding coins, and we're doing the same? Feels like there's a higher risk of being taxed for intelligence

Retail investors' crash warning is at full blast. Have you really seen through this wave? --- The ETH stock in 2016... finally, everyone, it's been a long wait. --- Big players are疯狂提币 (crazy withdrawing coins), and we're still bragging in the group. Truly a joke. --- The phrase "the bull market amplifies greed" hit me hard. It's always like this when things go wrong. --- Building positions gradually without moving—sounds simple, but practical implementation is tough. --- 275 million BTC isn't much, but the price still rules everything. --- I support small-scale trial and error, provided you're truly willing to face zeroing out. --- US banks recommending ETFs in 2026? Should we be happy now or anxious? --- Holding core assets indeed wins, but the question is, can you hold on, everyone? --- I've heard the supply and demand imbalance logic too many times, but what’s the result? --- The phrase "the bull market won't save people"—so many have written their blood and tears into it.

2.75 million BTC is really the bottom line. Large investors are accumulating, and we're still debating whether to chase the high or not, haha.
