Norway's duty-free retail chain Travel Retail Norway (TRN) has recently taken a new step—officially launching Bitcoin payment functionality at Oslo Airport. This feature covers travelers who place orders online and pick up in-store (Klikk & Hent mode), marking an important move for TRN in the digital payment field.

This Bitcoin payment solution is developed by the Satoshi Consult team and is based on the Lightning Network. Known for its fast transaction speeds and low fees, the Lightning Network's performance in retail payment scenarios is indeed noteworthy—especially in high-frequency, quick-consumption environments like airports.

From a broader perspective, more and more traditional retailers are beginning to experiment with cryptocurrency payments.
