Trading contracts, to put it simply, is about cultivating your mindset.

If you choose the right direction and hold a heavy position, you can take off overnight. If you choose the wrong direction and hold a heavy position, your account can blow up overnight. This is the reality.

When I first started trading contracts, I truly thought I was a genius. I would go all-in whenever I saw the market move, and I would jump in immediately when others called for a bullish trend. One day, I woke up to find my account quadrupled, and I thought I had discovered the secret to making money. But in the afternoon, the market turned around, and all the gains I had made were wiped out, bringing my account back to square one.

That moment I realized—contracts are not a shortcut; they simply amplify human desires and fears infinitely. You think you're controlling the rhythm, but most of the time, you're just being carried along by emotions.

Over time, I developed these three survival rules for trading:

**First: Light positions are a red line.**
Don’t think about turning things around in one shot; staying alive is the priority. As long as your account is alive, there’s a chance to continue trading. Heavy positions can wipe out all your opportunities in one go.

**Second: Stop-loss and take-profit must be decisive.**
The market has no obligation to cater to anyone’s feelings. Cut your losses when needed, take your profits when they’re available. Delaying only deepens losses, and that’s the easiest mistake to make in trading.

**Third: Holding a position without trading is also a form of operation.**
Not every day has a good opportunity to enter. If you can’t see clearly, stay on the sidelines. That’s a hundred times better than blindly jumping in. Rushing to trade often only messes up your rhythm.

I’ve seen people get rich overnight, and I’ve seen people blow up overnight. But those who have truly made it to today are the ones who stay steady and know when to stop.

Stories of sudden wealth are just tales—most of them are luck. What really helps you survive long-term in this market is discipline and patience. Operating with discipline and rhythm is the correct way to make money.

Contracts are not about who makes money faster, but about who survives longer. Being able to stick to your bottom line, resist temptation, and control your impulses—those are the qualities of the final winner.

You're absolutely right, Light Position has really saved me countless times. --- What I fear the most are those who go All in; I feel pain for them when I see their accounts explode. --- Short Position is also a strategy; this statement is worth ten thousand dollars. --- I've also experienced quadrupling my investment, and then there was nothing after that. --- Contracts are like magnifying glasses, not focusing on the market but on human nature. --- I struggled with stop loss for a long time, but now cutting losses feels as natural as breathing. --- I've seen too many people get rich overnight only to lose it all the next night; it's still better to live steadily.

Four times in one night and another night of explosive profits, this is the true enticing trap of contracts.

Really, living with a small position is a hundred times more satisfying than going all-in in one shot. --- Exactly right, I am the kind of person who wakes up to find their account gone. --- Stop-loss and take-profit, I've been hearing these words for five years but still can't do it... --- Holding a position empty is truly the hardest operation, always worried about missing out on something. --- The dream of getting rich quickly is just a fantasy; right now, I just want to live until next year. --- Contracts are like a magnifying glass, revealing everyone's most genuine greed. --- Controlling your hands is the hardest; watching the market makes you want to go all-in, which shows a lack of mental strength. --- If you can achieve all three points, I think you've already surpassed ninety percent of people.

You're so right. There are many people who double their money overnight and then lose everything the next night. I am one of those who almost didn't make it. Light positions have really saved me many times; a heavy position can wipe out all my resolve in an instant.
