Persistence is the true test of Web3 entrepreneurship; passion is more valuable than the trend.

【Blockchain Rhythm】A senior executive from a leading exchange recently shared his views on Web3 builders, and his core insights are worth every entrepreneur reflecting upon.

He emphasized that rather than being optimistic about a particular track, he values the entrepreneurial drive itself. Those who are truly passionate about their own ventures are the ones worth supporting in the long term. Look, in recent years, market trends have shifted rapidly—NFTs were hot the year before last, prediction markets took the spotlight last year, and now stablecoins are again the focus. In such an environment, adjusting strategies based on market demand is a good thing, but if you change your approach every three months and completely reverse direction, it basically indicates you’re not truly doing what you love.

He also touched on the essence of entrepreneurship: people’s original intentions for starting a business vary greatly. Some just want to make a quick buck, setting a specific goal—ten million, fifty million, or one hundred million dollars—and once achieved, they withdraw. But the reality is, Web3 entrepreneurship is incredibly challenging. You need real endurance, which is almost like physical labor. It often involves staying up late, working an absurd amount, and experiencing heavy mental and physical stress. Without a true passion for the venture itself, it’s hard to get through the toughest moments.

It sounds nice, but those guys who switch tracks every March, who hasn’t been beaten out by the market? The windfall is just a survival game.

Passion is indeed valuable, but only if you can hold on until that day. Most of the major changes on March 1st have ultimately gone to zero, and that's the heartbreaking part.

That's true, but we need to be realistic. We can only persist if we're not starving to death.

That's right, changing direction every three months is really just a fake startup... but the problem is that most people are hijacked by the trend, who has the leisure to persist?

There's nothing wrong with that, but to be honest, how many are truly driven by a mission? Most are just looking to make quick money by riding the trend. I've seen many who switch tracks every three months, and they seem quite confident about it.

To be honest, those who switch tracks every three months haven't really figured out what they truly want. I've seen too many of them.
