Starting a business doesn't rely on luck; it depends on this—end-of-year advice from the founder of a leading exchange.

Abstract generation in progress

【Crypto World】On December 18th, the founder of a leading exchange shared his views on entrepreneurship during a year-end conversation.

He mentioned the most core point: Building connections takes time. While there are indeed founders who can quickly explode with just an idea, honestly, such people are very rare. The vast majority of people, before achieving significant success, inevitably spend time building relationships and refining their network. That is his advice.

Interestingly, he also candidly said—there is no fixed formula for success. All roads lead to Rome, and everyone’s path is different. So don’t take his words as gospel; just listen and set the tone for the upcoming discussion.

Finally, he emphasized one point: opportunities always exist, and there are many. The key is to keep doing a few things—continue building, keep learning, and move forward step by step. Don’t expect to reach the top in one step; stay grounded, and eventually, you will reap rewards.

Networking is something that, to put it simply, is built slowly and cannot be rushed. It sounds good, but how many really stick with it? Better to temper the dream of instant success; being down-to-earth is the way to go.

Networking, to put it simply, is the result of long-termism. There's nothing mysterious about it. --- It's another story of "perseverance will lead to victory." I've heard it so many times, but I still feel uncertain inside. --- After all the hustle and bustle, it still boils down to networking. You really can't do without it. --- More opportunities? Nonsense. The key is whether you have the connections to know where those opportunities are. --- Just take steady steps... Easy to say, but surviving in a bear market is already good enough. --- So the core is: meet more people, learn more things, don't rush, there's nothing wrong with that. --- Building connections takes time, and that really hits home. I damn well lack that time. --- I like the phrase "There’s no formula for success." It’s a bit of a cold shower for those selling anxiety-inducing courses. --- Here, another big shot offers textbook-style advice, but it all sounds like armchair strategizing after the fact.

Networking, to put it simply, is about not rushing; taking it slow is actually faster. --- Another year-end summary, just listen and forget it; don't take it seriously. --- Still the same old stuff: building, learning, pushing forward. Sounds like chicken soup when you hear it. --- What’s the use of having many opportunities if you don’t have the connections to seize them? --- Dreaming of jumping to the top in one step—being practical is easier said than done. --- Everyone’s path is different. So, where is mine? --- Talking about accumulating connections easily—everyone wants to break out quickly.

Basically, it’s about taking it slow. This approach has long been validated in the NFT market. The group I jumped in with in 2021 truly believed that a PFP idea alone could make them rich overnight. But what happened? Most of them have disappeared now. On the other hand, those project teams that persist in building and continue to learn, although they may look struggling during the bear market, the on-chain data doesn’t lie. Bottom-up consensus is built this way; there are no shortcuts.

Networking is something that requires endurance; there's no fast-food version.
