You can feel the changes happening quietly in the crypto market without even looking at news headlines.

The era when retail investors chased gains and sold off on dips, driven by emotions, is gone. The current situation is more like traditional financial markets: large liquidity providers participating, quantitative trading desks running algorithms, and institutional big funds continuously deploying.

Recently, I discussed this topic with an industry insider who is involved in both investment institutions and protocol layer development. His conclusion was quite straightforward: market structure is maturing, and the underlying infrastructure supporting liquidity is also upgrading.

This is not empty talk. Just look at the current trading depth, the thickness of order books, and the improvement of cross-chain liquidity—these are definitely not on the same level as two or three years ago. Large funds need a reliable liquidity environment and better trading infrastructure. These demands, in turn, drive the entire market toward professionalism.

In other words, the crypto market is shifting from "who shouts the loudest wins" to "whose system is more complete has the advantage." This process may not be as exciting, but it indicates that the market is growing up.

The era of retail investors and small traders is truly over. Now entering the market means being exploited by institutions. Without an informational advantage, there's no point in messing around.

Retail investors have been squeezed out, only then does the market dare to rise. To put it nicely, it's "maturity." After the institutions arrived, it was indeed cold and detached. There's no longer that thrill of moving the entire market with just one sentence. It feels like watching a murder case in slow motion replay. Isn't this also a kind of progress, even though artisans have lost their jobs? Liquidity upgrade is real, but the opportunities for ordinary people are indeed gone.

Retail investors have been squeezed out, and this is the truth. When institutions come in, liquidity appears, but it's not as enjoyable anymore. But on the other hand, maintaining stability like this is good for everyone; it's better than riding a storm of rapid rises and falls. With algorithmic trading running, what else can we do, haha? A well-developed system is a good thing, but the opportunity for quick profits is gone.

The era of retail investors and small traders is truly over. Now, it's all about systems and infrastructure. --- What does this mean? It means that small retail traders like us simply can't compete with the algorithms of large institutions. --- Damn, I thought I could turn things around with a single message, but it turns out the market has already been locked down by institutions. --- Liquidity upgrades sound good, but for someone like me with a small wallet, it might make things even more competitive. --- In plain terms, the market has officially entered the professional era. Retailer advantages are gone. --- From emotion-driven to system-driven, it feels like the entire game has changed. --- Improved underlying infrastructure is a good thing, but behind it, retail traders' survival space is being squeezed. --- No wonder I’ve been feeling like my operations are always a beat slow—turns out I’ve been beaten by quant strategies.
