Recently, I have been following several blockchain game projects that are performing well. An increasingly obvious phenomenon is: the in-game payment system is quietly making adjustments—shifting from purely in-app purchases to a gradual migration to Web interfaces.
Shatterpoint has recently followed this wave, directly integrating the Web Shop feature into the official Dashboard. The seemingly simple change actually has a straightforward logic behind it—using cryptocurrency payments to break the bottleneck of traditional fiat in-app purchase models that are layered with middlemen taking commissions. The fee pressure from app stores has always been a pain point for game developers. Moving towards on-chain payments and Web-based settlements is essentially about finding more cost-effective payment solutions. This trend will continue to evolve, and more blockchain games will adopt this model.

To put it simply, it's about wanting to bypass the vampire-like cuts taken by Apple and Google. This should have been done a long time ago.

Basically, it's about wanting to get rid of the fees from those blood-sucking giants like Apple and Google. It should have been done this way a long time ago.

Apple's 30% fee is really disgusting; switching to on-chain payments should have been done a long time ago.
