Fed officials are shifting their tone on inflation momentum. Goolsbee just flagged the latest inflation reading as 'good,' signaling the central bank sees progress on price pressures. But here's the catch—he's not ready to declare victory yet. The message: expect the Fed to keep a close eye on upcoming data before making any major policy moves.

For traders watching macro headwinds, this could mean more patience on rate decisions. The inflation narrative is still fluid, and every fresh data point matters. Whether this translates to a softer or firmer policy stance depends on what comes next in the economic calendar.

Do you want to trick us into easing again? Who would believe it before the data comes out?

Here comes the same old "progress is good but not certain" rhetoric... This is what the Fed excels at, being ambiguous. When the data is good, they say it's good; when it's bad, they say "we need to observe"; in any case, it's always about waiting. I just want to ask, when will they really take action?

Goolsbee's words are a typical case of wanting it both ways. "Good" my ass, no matter how good the data is, we still need to keep observing. I'm tired of the Fed's tricks, it would be better if they just said they would cut rates.

Goolsbee says "good," but is it really good? Just listening, the Fed has been playing this rhetoric for decades.

Goolsbee says "good" and it's good? I don't think so. I've seen too many of the Fed's虚虚实实 (vague and ambiguous) rhetoric.

Goolsbee says "good" is fine? I think he's just leaving himself an escape route. When the next data doesn't look good, he'll flip his stance. The Fed's trick of bluffing like this is really old.

Coming back with this again? We were told inflation would be over, but now we have to wait and see the data... This is the Fed's trick, saying good with the left hand and holding on with the right hand. I'm damn overwhelmed.

Goolsbee's set of "good but not good enough" remarks is a typical Fed-style ambiguity... the market will have to wait and see.

The shorts should wake up; this Fed talk is paving the way for a rate cut...

Goolsbee says good, but is it really good? To be honest, everyone is still on the sidelines. No one dares to make a move until the data comes out. This wave of retail investors will have to wait again.
