CPI improves but causes a sell-off? BTC drops from 89K to 85K. Watch out for this forced liquidation.

Abstract generation in progress

【Crypto World】An interesting phenomenon has emerged: the US November CPI data improved to 2.7%. Logically, this should be positive for risk assets, but what happened? Bitcoin and US stocks experienced a rather intense synchronized sell-off.

Here’s how the market played out—BTC initially rebounded to nearly $89,200, seeming to break new highs, but then sharply retreated to around $85,000 within 30 minutes. The intensity of the sell-off was clearly significant.

The real issue isn’t in the macro fundamentals. Analysis shows that this decline mainly stems from the market structure itself—specifically, large-scale forced liquidations and de-risking operations during US stock trading hours. Bitcoin’s selling volume suddenly surged, indicating that leveraged positions were being systematically cleared. In this situation, even the strongest fundamental data can’t hold up because the market is engaging in risk hedging, not considering economic prospects.

*checks notes* ah yes, the classic "good news is actually bad news" playbook... we literally ran this exact same script in 2021 when inflation data came in hot and everyone thought it meant rate cuts lol. market structure eating fundamentals for breakfast, same as it ever was. those leverage positions getting liquidated systematically? that's the real story nobody wants to hear 📊

Here we go again, the leverage Get Liquidated routine. The fundamentals have improved, yet it falls even harder. It's hilarious.

This is the real truth of the crypto world: positive fundamentals actually cause sell-offs, and leverage liquidations are the real culprit.

89K to 85K, a direct plunge in 30 minutes, I just laughed. No matter how good the fundamentals are, they can't withstand leveraged liquidation.

It's the same story again. Good fundamentals but still getting dumped. Truly unbelievable.

ngl the mempool was screaming before that dump even happened... saw the liquidation patterns building up in the fee distribution like a week prior. nobody listens to the data tho, everyone's just chasing the cpi narrative. classic market inefficiency. that 89k fake-out had forced longs written all over it

This is outrageous. Good news actually causes a sell-off? The power of leveraged liquidation is really incredible.

Damn, this round of leveraged liquidation is really ruthless. No matter how good the fundamentals are, it can't stop the selling wave.
