Nike just reported disappointing China sales figures, and that's exactly when analyst Kevin McCarthy sees an opportunity. 'I'd be a buyer on a day like today,' he says. When a major brand faces short-term headwinds in a key market, it often creates a buying window for contrarian investors. The question becomes whether this is just noise or a sign of deeper weakness. Either way, weakness in China sales—especially for a global consumer brand—shouldn't be ignored. It's a signal worth paying attention to when making decisions about market entries and portfolio positioning.

Nike China's sales decline, and the contrarian investors are starting to get restless... Is it really that simple?

Nike faces backlash in China, while McCarthy is actually looking to buy the dip? But is this guy trying to bet on a rebound or genuinely optimistic about Nike?

ngl McCarthy's just doing the classic contrarian play here... China weakness = buying signal narrative is getting tired tbh. seen this movie before and it usually doesn't end well for the bag holders jumping in early. paper hands panic selling creates alpha leaks but that doesn't mean the bottom's actually in lol

The Chinese market is indeed putting a lot of pressure on Nike, but the opportunity to buy the dip has really arrived...

The Chinese market is causing trouble again; Nike is probably going to be knocked down this time.

The Chinese market is indeed a bit heartbreaking, but I think what McCarthy said also makes sense... buying the dip is always the strategy after all.

The Chinese market, really can't sell anymore... Nike still dares to fall? The old trick of buying low and accumulating, I think it's uncertain.
