#大户持仓动态 I received an urgent call for help from a friend in the early morning—his account was wiped out. He used a $10,000 USDT principal to go all-in with 10x leverage, and as a result, the market retraced 3%, and his account was cleared. After checking the transaction details, I found that he entered with $9,500 USDT directly without setting a stop-loss.

Many people mistakenly believe that going all-in equals risk hedging, but in fact, it's quite the opposite. All-in trading is a double-edged sword; using it improperly can lead to faster liquidation than with isolated positions.

Why is going all-in prone to liquidation? On the surface, it seems to be a leverage issue, but the core actually lies in position weighting. Taking a $1,000 USDT account as an example, if you use $900 USDT to open a 10x leverage position, a mere 5% market move in the opposite direction can trigger liquidation. Conversely, using only $100 USDT with the same leverage requires a 50% move to be liquidated. My friend put 95% of his principal into a position, and with 10x leverage, any small fluctuation couldn't be withstand.

So how can you avoid liquidation when going all-in? I’ve summarized three iron rules. Following these for half a year not only prevented liquidation but also doubled the account.

**First Rule: Use no more than 20% of total funds for a single trade.** For a $10,000 USDT account, never invest more than $2,000 USDT at once. Even if you misjudge and set a 10% stop-loss, the loss is only $200 USDT, which is just 2% of the total funds, not damaging the principal, and the opportunity to recover always exists.

**Second Rule: Limit single-loss to within 3%.** For example, with a $2,000 USDT position using 10x leverage, pre-calculate the stop-loss point, setting the loss at 1.5% (about $30 USDT), which is exactly 3% of the total funds. Even if you make a few wrong calls, you won’t be wiped out.

**Third Rule: Do not move during sideways consolidation, and do not easily add to profits.** Only enter when the trend clearly breaks out; during consolidation, stay put even if it looks tempting. After entering, never chase positions; emotional volatility is the biggest enemy.

The true meaning of going all-in is not to gamble on the direction but to keep a buffer space. Its purpose is to give you more room to adjust amid market fluctuations. But the prerequisite is light position sizing, disciplined testing, and strict risk control.

Once, a follower kept blowing up his account every month, but after adopting this method, he managed to grow his $5,000 USDT account to $8,000 USDT in three months. He said: "I used to think going all-in was a gambler’s tool, but now I understand that going all-in is for living more steadily."

Want to trade steadily? Mastering these practical skills is essential. Feel free to continue sharing more trading ideas.

Fren, 95% of the principal is directly bet without a stop loss? This is really outrageous, it's pure gambling.

95% full position with 10x leverage, this guy is just gambling on the direction with the tool, a 3% fluctuation and it's gone, anyone would be unable to withstand it

This guy put 95% of his principal with 10x leverage, and a 3% pullback directly results in game over. Typical gambler mentality.

It's the same story again. I've known for a long time that 95% of full-position traders won't survive more than a month.
