Rosé Surpasses Lisa on Billboard's Adult Pop Airplay Chart, Solidifying K-pop Dominance in New York Music Scene

K-pop solo artists continue to make significant waves on American music charts, with Rosé’s latest collaboration marking another milestone. Her duet with singer-songwriter Alex Warren, “On My Mind,” continues to demonstrate the commercial appeal of K-pop crossover projects on Billboard’s most prestigious airplay rankings.

The Seventh Week Milestone

Currently holding steady at No. 17 on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, “On My Mind” has now accumulated seven consecutive weeks on the list. This achievement places the track among the most enduring performances by any K-pop solo artist on this particular Billboard ranking, reflecting the track’s sustained appeal across American radio formats.

Breaking into Exclusive Territory

With this week’s retention, Rosé has established herself in a historic position. She now holds the fifth-longest charting run by any K-pop soloist on the Adult Pop Airplay chart—a distinction she previously shared with her Blackpink bandmate Lisa. Last week, both artists were tied, with “On My Mind” and Lisa’s “Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me)” each having spent six weeks on the chart. However, Rosé’s track’s persistence for an additional week has definitively moved her ahead.

The Broader K-pop Chart Landscape

Rosé maintains an even more impressive record on this same chart: her collaboration with Bruno Mars, “Apt.,” holds the distinction of being the longest-charting single by any K-pop artist, group or solo, with an extraordinary 32-week run that peaked at No. 2. Following her current position, other K-pop acts have made significant but shorter appearances on the chart.

BTS’s Jung Kook ranks second in longevity, with “Too Much” (featuring The Kid Laroi and Central Cee) spending 18 weeks on the Adult Pop Airplay chart. Lisa’s “Priceless” (with Maroon 5) managed 15 weeks, while Jung Kook’s “Seven” (featuring Latto) held on for 13 weeks—demonstrating consistent K-pop representation across multiple artists.

What’s Next for the Collaboration?

As “On My Mind” continues its journey on Billboard’s airplay charts, the question remains whether it can achieve further longevity. To surpass the next threshold of K-pop solo artist achievements, the track would need to maintain its position for at least six additional weeks. However, recent momentum suggests potential challenges ahead. On the broader Pop Airplay chart, the collaboration has already begun to decline, dropping from its peak position of No. 19 to No. 21 this week, which may signal a similar trajectory on the Adult Pop Airplay roster in the coming weeks.
