50 million USDT theft case: Whale calls out to Hacker on-chain, 1 million USD bounty goes unanswered

Abstract generation in progress

[Coin World] There has been another incident on-chain. A whale or institution was phished and lost 50 million USDT in one go, which is really quite painful. The most outrageous part is that the victim actually sent a message directly to the hacker on-chain - “Return the money, and I will give you a 1 million USD bounty.”

This method is a standard white hat bounty tactic, trying to persuade hackers to stop from the perspective of economic benefits. However, up until now, the other party has not responded. What’s even more heartbreaking is that on-chain analysis shows that the stolen funds have already been transferred into a certain privacy mixing tool, basically evaporating into thin air. This also indicates that the hacker's level of professionalism is quite high—acting first to secure liquidity and then handling the rest slowly.

This incident also reminds everyone that phishing links and authorization risks are not to be taken lightly. Even a big Whale can stumble if they're not careful.

50 million just disappeared like that, and nobody cares about the 1 million bounty, this Hacker is really professional. This phishing trick is truly brilliant; even the biggest Whale can't avoid it if they're not careful for a moment. Once you use the mixing tool, you know this guy has done this before. The authorization risk really needs to be taken seriously; even institutions can get phished. Calling out to the Hacker on-chain is ridiculous; it's better to report it to the police directly.

50 million is gone and I still have to be humble, this hacker is clearly professional and doesn't fall for this trap. The mixing tool is gone as soon as it's used, haha this is a real professional player. If whales can get caught, I, as a retail investor, need to be extra careful. A 1 million dollar bait doesn't even move, indicating that they are really here for long-term Money Laundering. Authorization really kills invisibly, even Large Investors can crash. This hacker's on-chain counter-surveillance is done excellently, no wonder they dare to transfer money openly. The bounty system is useless against professional thieves, they can disappear abroad in a minute.

50 million is gone, and even a 1 million bounty can't be fished back. This hacker is really professional. --- It's a mix of phishing and mixing coins, and even Large Investors can't defend against it. What can we small investors do? --- Calling out to the hacker on-chain is truly absurd, just like shouting "robber please come back" on the highway. --- As soon as the money goes into the mixing tool, it's really doomed; that's the most frustrating part, right? --- The key is to learn not to click on links randomly. No matter how much money you have, you can't withstand such turmoil. --- The hacker quickly transfers to the privacy mixing tool; they came prepared and definitely won't turn back for 1 million. --- Even Whales can fall; this shows that this wave of phishing is really clever, and we must be more cautious.

100 million can't be smashed down, this Hacker is really amazing ha --- 50 million ah, this amount of money is enough for me to eat until I'm old, but it just disappeared like that --- Mixed coins slipped away, learned a lesson learned a lesson --- Whales also have to fall, advised me not to touch on-chain interactions anymore --- Can't resist the temptation of 1 million, which shows that they must have run away long ago --- This is called professional crime, the moment you transfer to privacy tools it's GG --- White hat bounty is completely ineffective on-chain ah --- Scared me to quickly check the authorization, oh my god --- No matter how much money, you can't withstand a phishing link, I'm numb --- There's a reason why Hackers don't take this business, they've definitely already escaped

lol offering a bounty on-chain like they're gonna respond... dude already knew exactly what to do with the funds, mixer'd it before the victim even finished typing. insufficient operational security, no matter how big your wallet is.

50 million just disappeared like that, hackers are in control, even a bounty of 1 million doesn't get a response, they really don't take money seriously. Talking on-chain is like throwing a stone into the water, they've long since mixed coins and fled, we retail investors need to be more careful. Authorization should really be handled with caution, even Large Investors can get flipped, us losers really need to think twice before acting. The hacker's traps are deeper than we imagine, first mixing coins and then retreating, they have a professional flair. Phishing is hard to defend against, watching cybersecurity news every day is pointless, at critical moments, it still comes down to luck. With the bounty already posted, is there still a hacker who refuses? This shows they don't care about that little bit of money at all. Once mixed, the coins disappear, leaving messages on-chain is like adding drama for oneself, reality is just that heartbreaking. Before large transfers, confirmation must be repeated, otherwise, one day it will be our turn to be phished.

50 million USDT just vanished, this hacker's method is indeed ruthless, mixing coins without any delay, and the bounty is simply not worth it. With such professionalism, I actually suspect that it might be an insider, they are too familiar with the process. Another 50 million blood lesson, authorization is something that needs attention, it's not pocket change. Seeing that 1 million bounty sink into the sea, the hacker really seems uninterested in money, what they want is this sum of gold. Once the mixing tool is used, it's completely out of contact, that's true professional quality, no wonder it's such a big deal this time. The industry really needs to regulate the phishing aspect, if large investors can fall for it, retail investors are even more at risk. To be honest, a bounty of 1 million is indeed too low, a job worth 50 million has long been sold out, this logic just doesn't make sense.

50 million is gone and you still dare to shout, this mentality is really tough. But to be honest, the hackers have already infiltrated the mixing pool, and the bounty trick might not work— they have already handled the liquidity, which is truly professional. Phishing is really hard to guard against; you need to re-evaluate your risk control system from the perspectives of authorization permissions and layered cold wallets, and can't just rely on luck.
