XION has indeed done a lot in blockchain verification, but looking at it from another angle - what if verification doesn't exist at all?
No proof. No certainty. Truth and falsehood are hard to discern, appearances are difficult to differentiate.
Where will it be by then? Where has the truth gone?
The more realistic question is - who holds the power of discourse?
This is not pure theory. In a world where verification is lacking, information easily becomes a tool of power. And this is precisely why projects like XION are promoting verification mechanisms - not for show, but to reclaim the right to interpret facts from a select few.

Again talking about the trap of power and discourse, but the real question is who believes it?

Well... to put it simply, it's a game of information power; whoever controls the verification controls the truth, right?
